Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 13 June 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of Zele, including the website and hosted software service. By creating an account, accessing the application, or continuing to use the service, you agree to be bound by these terms.
If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use the service. If you use Zele on behalf of an organisation, household group, or other entity, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms on that party's behalf.
2. Service description
Zele is a software service that helps households plan meals, manage inventory, coordinate shopping, and organise preparation workflows. We may update and improve the service over time, including introducing, modifying, or retiring features.
The service is intended to support planning and organisation. It is not a medical, nutritional, or legal advisory service, and does not replace professional advice where required.
3. Account responsibilities
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials, ensuring account information remains accurate, and managing household member permissions appropriately.
- You must keep login credentials confidential and take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised access.
- You must ensure that data entered into Zele is lawful and does not infringe the rights of third parties.
- You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account unless you have reported a security incident promptly.
4. Subscription, billing, and cancellation
Where a paid plan applies, subscription charges are billed monthly in advance after any advertised trial period. Prices shown on the website or checkout pages apply unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the next billing date.
- You authorise us and our payment providers to collect recurring charges for the selected plan.
- If a payment fails, access may be restricted until payment is successfully processed.
- You can cancel from your account billing area. Cancellation prevents future renewal charges, but paid periods already invoiced are non-refundable unless required by law.
5. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the service, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with normal operation, or use Zele in a way that breaches applicable law.
- introduce malicious code, automated abuse, or actions that compromise service security;
- probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities without explicit permission;
- copy, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract source code except where permitted by applicable law;
- use the service in a fraudulent, defamatory, or otherwise unlawful manner.
6. Service availability and updates
We aim to provide a reliable service, but availability is not guaranteed. Planned maintenance, emergency changes, third-party outages, and events outside our reasonable control may affect access from time to time.
We may update, improve, or withdraw features to maintain and develop the service. We may amend these terms where required by legal, technical, security, or commercial changes. Continued use after an updated effective date constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zele is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Subject to the above, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of goodwill, or loss of data arising from use of the service.
